These photographs have been very kindly submitted following an article shown
in the Nottingham Post 26 April 2017

I read with interest the article about Mapperley in today's Nottingham Post, particularly the reference to Shipley Hall.  It must be more than 30 years ago that I inherited a cruet set from an uncle whose relative had once been in domestic service at Shipley Hall and had been given it on leaving their employ.

It is of no great value as some of the bottles have mismatched tops but I keep it for sentimental reasons as my first job on leaving school was for the NCB Area 5 and spent some weeks at the Shipley site.

I very much thank the lady who took the time to send these to me.

Elaine
